WBM launched an online newsletter in September 2006 which quickly became the most popular e-bulletin in the Australian wine industry – and possibly worldwide.
The Week That Was brings the wine industry to a halt every Friday when it lobs into the inboxes of 4,000 winemakers, wine marketers, viticulturists and CEOs in Australia and around the globe.
Interactive
Readers love it because it’s funny, but also because it contains a stack of useful information, and the odd bit of cheeky gossip. It’s also interactive, with readers sending in photos, comments and jokes which are published each Friday.
The Week That Was has a cult following these days and been hailed as the most innovative wine publication to appear in the past 20 years.
Advertising opportunities
There are interactive and great value for money advertising opportunities available on The Week That Was.
At the top of every e-bulletin are premium advertising spaces, available for three lucky companies each week. Then there are the popular vertical panel adverts and horizontal panel adverts which are available for one month, three month or six month bookings. Some companies choose to simply run a logo which offers exposure at a bargain price.
All advertising spaces are linked to those client’s own websites, which gives businesses a direct and measurable benefit.
